Lymphatic massage is a gentle, specialised technique that supports your body's natural fluid drainage system. Using light, rhythmic strokes, it encourages the movement of lymph fluid through your body, helping reduce swelling, ease heaviness and support your immune function.
At Recover Right, this isn't a relaxation add-on. It's manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), delivered using the Casley-Smith technique, alongside deep oscillation therapy and medical-grade compression garment prescription where needed.
What it won't do: reduce cellulite or drop you a waist size. If that's the goal, this isn't the right treatment — it's targeted therapy for genuine fluid and lymphatic management needs.
Your session starts with an assessment of your specific condition and history. From there, treatment may include manual lymphatic drainage, deep oscillation therapy and, where appropriate, guidance on compression garments. You'll also get self-education so you understand how to manage your condition between visits — not just during them.
Technique matters here. Incorrect MLD can be ineffective, and it's not suitable for everyone, so your practitioner will confirm it's right for you before treatment begins.
Your lymphatic massage is delivered by Krystal, who holds a 135-hour certification in Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy for the assessment and management of lymphoedema and related conditions. Krystal is trained in the Casley-Smith technique — one of two internationally recognised approaches to lymphatic massage, alongside Vodder — and is a member of the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA).
Lymphatic conditions require specialised knowledge. Choosing a practitioner with recognised lymphoedema training means your treatment is tailored to your specific condition, not a generic massage approach.
